Tri-State Racing Track Begins Offering Games Like Roulette

On October 2nd, 2008, if practicing your craft makes your kill perfect, then about one hundred thirty brand new blackjack, roulette, craps and other casino table games dealers just hired at the Tri-State Racing Track and Gaming Center should be ready when the racing track opens its second phase of casino table games next week. This week, brand new dealers were busy practicing their skills for two nights of charity games before Tri-State officially offers blackjack and other casino table games to their customers.

Tri-State racing tracing first opened their poker tables in August. While a weak economy has meant a slow business for the casino gaming industry as a whole, Tri-State operations director Rich Tesler said that the addition of casino table games has helped business at the Nitro Racing Track. Tesler hopes that the addition of the casino games like craps, roulette, blackjack, three card poker and four card poker and Let It Ride will helped improve the business even more.

Tri-State began offering poker tables in August, but is offering craps, roulette, blackjack and other casino games. Following the casino dealer schools offered on the summer, Tri-State hired around one hundred blackjack dealers, fifteen roulette dealers and twenty-five craps dealers.

The majority of the new dealers are local, though Tesler said that they have to recruit craps dealers from outside of the state because residents in the area did not sign-up for available craps classes. Tesler also brought in capable supervisors from outside of West Virginia to oversee the new gambling operations. Tesler said that since graduation from this summer's dealer schools, about twenty-five local blackjack dealers have signified their intention of cross training on the craps tables.
